RK Reddy joined the Entrepreneurship Team of Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration in 2023 as an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship. Before this, he was an Assistant Professor of Management at Indiana University South Bend's Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics, where he was later promoted to Associate Professor.
RK's academic journey includes a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from Manipal University in India, an MBA from Western Kentucky University, and a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Memphis. His well-rounded background extends beyond academia, with experience in the healthcare and IT industries before pursuing his doctoral education. Also, RK is an entrepreneur who has been involved with numerous startups as a founder and consultant. Before joining IU South Bend, RK was a Wang Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) research associate. Before his doctoral education, RK worked in the healthcare, management, and IT industries. He has been an entrepreneur since 2006 and consistently works with startups as a founder or consultant. His research examines mergers & acquisitions, entrepreneurship in informal economies, and foreign direct investments through institutional, resource dependence, and eclectic theories. , He presented his research at annual conferences at the Academy of Management, Academy of International Business, and Southern Management Association. His research has been published in journals like Management International Review, International Business Review, Business Research Quarterly, and Journal of Multinational Financial Management. His teaching interests include Entrepreneurship, Strategic management, Innovation, Design thinking and negotiations. His research interests include Mergers and acquisitions, Entrepreneurship in Informal Economies, Emerging markets and Institutional theory.Most Admired Entrepreneur:
