IECE Featured in the 2018 Regional State of the County Address - Driving the Future of Business
Dr. Mike Stull, Director of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE) was featured in the State of the County 2018 Regional Business Summit with the collective mission of “Driving the Future of Business”. Stull gave intriguing insight on the future of entrepreneurship, innovation and education within the Inland Empire region!
Recognized as the premier business event of the year, the San Bernardino County Regional Business Forum and State of the County was held March 13, 2018 at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario. Titled “Driving the Future of Business,” the event discussed the region’s major business drivers including workforce expansion and development, entrepreneurial growth, and the impact of local control with Ontario Airport.
“Our County continues to attract young people who appreciate the affordable quality of life the region provides. We are committed to further ensuring that we have the jobs they need as well as helping to keep our workforce ready and able to meet the demands of business,” said Robert Lovingood, chairman, San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. “This event will encourage more opportunity as it brings together over 1,000 business and community leaders to share ideas.”
Business leadership from Milken Institute; CSU, San Bernardino; Frontier Airlines; ConvergeOne; Punch Bowl Social, and Loma Linda University Health, among others will provide their insight on regional economic advantages and how business is responding to workforce demands. The main event included the presentation and a business networking portion for business, government and community leaders.
A NAIOP Inland Empire pre-event panel was held at 3:00 p.m. featuring Randall Lewis, Lewis Management Company; Darla Longo, CBRE; and Kim Snyder, Prologis; with Terry Thompson, San Bernardino County discussing how to best develop and invest in the region to meet future demand.
