Aspiring Women Entrepreneurs Graduate from It's Your Time Program
IECE’s Inland Empire Women’s Business Center (IEWBC) hosted the “It’s Your Time (IYT)” Awards Ceremony on June 20. In an effort to encourage women to start a business, the IEWBC developed an intense program consisting of workshops, business planning and business counseling. The program, now in its 5th year, is sponsored by Citibank.
Nearly 100 people attended the event to see 23 aspiring business owners recognized for successfully completing the entrepreneurial training program. Each IYT participant attended a minimum of 10 workshops, worked individually with business counselors, and completed a written business plan. The evening was very exciting as IYT participants shared their experiences, developed and strengthened new relationships, and planned for a prosperous future. The top graduating participants were selected to receive a cash award to help launch their new business venture.
